The development of the opinion-forming periodicals in Poland is the main subject of this text. The main polish weeklies were selected: ‘Polityka’, ‘Wprost’, ‘Newsweek Polska’ and ‘Uważam Rze. Inaczej pisane’. This journals appeared in Poland at different historical moments, consequently had to face different circumstances, conditions and the various readers’ expectations. It, somehow, constitutes evidence for a constant development of the media pluralism, which allows to exist, next to each other, different magazines of such diversified political views, giving a reader a wide selection among the press offer.
